Well, if you fly out of Boston, your travel experience is about to get a whole lot smoother. A new innovative service is launching to help you bypass the airport chaos entirely.
Introducing North America's First Remote Airport Screening Facility
Starting June 1, Delta and JetBlue passengers can skip the main terminal queues at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS). This is made possible by a new remote terminal in Framingham, Massachusetts, located at 19 Flutie Pass.
The project is a collaboration between the mobility company Landline and BOS operator Massport. It allows suburban travelers to treat a local park-and-ride lot as the front door to the airport.

Instead of driving into the city, you simply park your car at the Framingham facility for a fraction of the cost of airport parking. From there, you can check your luggage and clear security right in the suburb.
How the Sterile Bus Ride Works
Once you pass the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) checkpoint in Framingham, you will board a secure Landline coach bus. Because you are already screened, the bus is considered a secure environment.
The coach takes you directly to the tarmac at Logan Airport, bypassing all public areas. This means you avoid the congested ticketing halls and security lines at the main airport.

- Delta Passengers: You will be dropped off inside security at Terminal A, Gate A18.
- JetBlue Passengers: The bus drops you off past security at Terminal C, Gate C8.
- Baggage Handling: Your checked bags are transferred directly from the bus to your plane automatically.
Pricing, Schedule, and What to Expect
To start, there are eight daily departures leaving on the hour. The drive from Framingham to Logan Airport takes anywhere from 40 minutes to over an hour, depending on Boston's traffic.
A one-way ticket on the Landline coach costs just $9 for adults, and kids under 17 ride completely free. This makes it an incredibly affordable alternative to ride-sharing or driving yourself.
Keep in mind that the Framingham terminal is designed for efficiency rather than lounging. You will find basic amenities like restrooms, seating, and vending machines, but no extensive dining options.
A Glimpse into the Future of Travel
While "in-town" check-ins exist in places like Hong Kong and Vienna, this is the first time a remote facility in North America lets you clear TSA before boarding a bus. Massport is already considering expanding this model to other suburbs like Braintree if it proves successful.
By shifting airport processes closer to where people live, airports can reduce crowding and travelers can enjoy a much more relaxed journey.
